What types of talent do you cast?
I specialize in commercial casting for a wide range of talent, including SAG-AFTRA union actors, non-union performers, real people, celebrities, social media influencers, and professional models. Whether you need seasoned actors for a national campaign, authentic everyday people for testimonials, or recognizable celebrities to elevate your brand, I have access to diverse talent across all ages, ethnicities, and demographics.
What's your casting process?
My casting process is collaborative and efficient. It typically begins with an initial consultation to understand your creative vision, target audience, and project requirements. I then identify and pre-screen talent that fits your brief, coordinate auditions (in-person or self-tape), and present you with curated options. Throughout the process, I handle all logistics including scheduling, contract negotiations, and day-of-shoot coordination. My goal is to make casting seamless so you can focus on bringing your creative vision to life.
Do you work outside of Los Angeles?
Yes! While I'm based in Los Angeles and work often in New York City, I work with brands, agencies, and production companies nationwide. I have extensive experience casting talent in major markets including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and beyond. For projects shooting outside of LA, I can coordinate local talent searches, facilitate remote auditions, and manage all aspects of casting from afar. I've also worked on international campaigns, including casting for commercials airing in China, India, England and Europe.
What information do you need to start a project?
To begin casting, I'll need: your creative brief or script, target demographic/character descriptions, shoot dates and location, usage/run details (local, regional, national, digital, etc.), and budget parameters. If you have reference images, mood boards, or examples of the look or character type you're going for, those are incredibly helpful too. The more detail you can provide upfront, the more precisely I can target the right talent for your project.
How far in advance should I book casting services?
For most commercial projects, I recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance of your shoot dates. This allows adequate time for talent outreach, auditions, callbacks, final selections and agency approvals. Rush projects can be accommodated with 1-2 weeks' notice, though this may limit talent availability. For large-scale campaigns requiring celebrity talent or extensive real people casting, 6-8 weeks is ideal. The earlier you involve me in your project, the better I can serve your casting needs.
What's the difference between SAG-AFTRA and non-union casting?
SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is the labor union representing professional actors. Union casting typically involves higher session fees and residual payments based on where and how long your commercial airs. Non-union casting offers more budget flexibility and can be ideal for digital-only campaigns, regional spots, or projects with limited budgets. I work with both union and non-union talent and can advise on which approach best fits your project's needs and budget. Many producers are surprised to find how many SAG-AFTRA contracts there now are to accommodate lower budget ads or indie films while still having access to union talent!
How do casting director fees work?
Casting director fees vary based on project scope, timeline, number of roles, and whether it's union or non-union. Fees typically cover talent sourcing, audition coordination, negotiations, and shoot-day support. I provide transparent quotes upfront based on your specific project requirements. My goal is to deliver exceptional casting that fits within your budget while ensuring fair compensation for the talent and services involved.
Can you cast real people and testimonials?
Absolutely! Real people casting is one of my specialties. I excel at finding authentic, relatable individuals who genuinely represent your brand's target audience. Whether you need actual customers for testimonials, employees for recruitment campaigns, or everyday people for lifestyle spots, I have a proven track record of identifying talent who feel genuine on camera. I've cast real people for major brands including Ford, USAA, Nationwide, Fed-Ex, Macy’s, Savage Fenty and many more!
Do you provide celebrity casting services?
Yes, I have experience casting celebrities and recognizable talent for commercial campaigns and independent film. I handle all aspects of celebrity casting including availability checks, deal negotiations, and on-set coordination. My relationships with talent agents and managers help ensure smooth bookings for high-profile projects.
Do you help with influencer deals and negotiations?
I can definitely assist brands and agencies with influencer casting, vetting, and deal negotiations. This includes identifying the right influencers for your campaign based on audience demographics and engagement metrics, coordinating contracts and usage rights, managing talent relationships throughout the campaign, and ensuring deliverables meet your creative standards. Whether you need macro-influencers for broad reach or micro-influencers for niche authenticity, I can help navigate the influencer landscape and secure partnerships that align with your brand goals.
Do you offer casting consultationS for smaller budgets?
Yes! I offer one-hour casting consultations for filmmakers, producers, and brands working on micro-budget or indie projects who need professional guidance but may not have the budget for full-service casting. In our consultation, I'll guide you through the casting process, help you navigate union vs. non-union rules, recommend audition tools, and provide insider tips to help you cast successfully on your own.
