I often get asked for advice on how an actor can improve their chances of getting cast or how the process even works from the casting side. I am now offering discounted 1 hour consultations. I can tailor our session to one specific topic you feel you need the most advice on, or we can do a general overview touching on everything.

Topics I can help with:

• Headshots: Do you ever wonder what we see on the other end of various casting sites and how particular headshots stand out to us amid a sea of pictures? I will show you what the process looks like for us, examples of the best shots I’ve seen, and we can analyze the shots you already have or discuss ideas for your upcoming shoot.

• Self Tapes: What do I think makes a GREAT self tape stand out from a good self-tape? We can discuss and view some of your past self tapes and I can share examples of the best self tapes I have seen. I will give you suggestions of what you can do to improve your auditions so that you will impress future casting directors.

• Acting: There are so many long term acting coaches out there providing much needed services, so this would be more a focus on what pieces of advice I can give you on your acting from a casting perspective. I can view any recent auditions and share my thoughts on any acting red flags to improve upon, or the unique qualities I see in your acting that you should lean into for your auditions.

• Child Actors: I do a lot of children’s castings and often get parents asking me “how do I get my child into the business?” I have a ton of advice to share and specific questions I ask every parent to make sure they and their child are ready for this journey (it is important BOTH the parent and child understand what it entails). In this chat, I am happy to go over the entire process including what documents and accounts you need to create for your child, the set rules for their age, best agencies to connect with, etc.

• The Business/Agencies: The advertising and entertainment industry has changed more in the last two years than it has for many years before that. The introduction of influencers, social media, the changes in budgets and the types of talent clients are looking for, have upended much of the norms. I will share with you what I am hearing from my clients, important tips to keep your social media brand friendly, and what agencies might be best for where you are at in your career.
